Read that you stayed in Tahiti GV room at Poly. That's the longhouse/room view we requested for Sept. When going to AK & HS, did you take a bus from the Poly or walk to TTC to catch a bus? Assume TTC buses run more often, but might be more crowded?

    Hello Jill,

I love helping a fellow Buckeye, especially when it comes to Disney!

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Tahiti Longhouse at the Polynesian Resort. Some may disagree - but we felt it was a fabulous location. The Poly is really intimate. We never felt far from the Great Ceremonial House, the Nanea Volcano Pool, or from any transportation - be it the Monorail, boat, or bus.

To answer your question, when we headed to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, or any other location that was accessible by bus, we would head for the bus stop at the Resort. There is a pathway just east of the bus stop that leads to the Tahiti Longhouse. It's so pretty at night with the tiki torches lit! I also wondered if the buses headed for the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) ran more often, but during our stay, the buses ran no more frequently than those going to the Poly. The only drawback is Guests at the Poly are dropped off after Guests at the Contemporary. You will be the second of three stops. So if you're in a hurry, you may want to jump on a bus to the TTC then walk from there.

    Hope this helps!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
