We have read somewhere in the past about decorating the stateroom doors on a Disney cruise. This is our first Disney cruise and we want to know what this is all about!

    Hi Lori,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Each and every time I've cruised I have noticed some a few doors that were decorated by the stateroom occupants.  Most of the time the decorations consist of name tags of the stateroom guests and where they are from along with message boards, magnets and photographs.

Although it can be cute and is a fun way to let everyone know who you are and where you're from - personally I would not recommend doing this.  A cruise ship is one of the ultimate vacation destinations and due to the nature of cruising where you wine, dine and play with the same people throughout your voyage it is easy to obtain a false sense of security.  I would never recommend putting your personal information (and that of your children) out in a public place for anyone and everyone to see, a cruise ship with 3,000+ passengers and crew should be no exception.

If you're looking for a a fun way to spruce up your cabin, check out the fun stateroom decoration packages HERE they are about half way down the page.

    Hope this helps!
