I have read somewhere that milkshakes at Sci-fi Dine-in can be used as a snack credit on the DDP. Is this true? Thank you so much. I love this panel!

    Hi Jamie!

First off, I'm a huge fan of the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. It's such a fun place to eat and hang out. Plus, the cast members are a real hoot!

You asked a great question. If you comb through all of the information about the Disney Dining Plan, I don't think you'll find anything on point with respect to using snack credits at table service restaurants. However, there's certainly no harm in asking your server if you can use a snack credit on a milkshake.

While I personally haven't heard of anyone trying that at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, I have heard of guests trying it at other restaurants on property. The cast members at Walt Disney World do their best to accommodate special requests all the time, so I would encourage you to give it a try. (Just give your server a wink and a smile!)

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant recently added a new appetizer to its menu that might sound a little unusual - Fried Dill Pickles.

Go with me for a second!

These little gems are amazing!! They're hard to find these days, so whenever I see them being offered on a menu, I always partake. Their version is pretty darn good, so give 'em a try.

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions (especially food-related ones!), please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
