I read somewhere that you have to link a credit card to your magic bands so you can use the band for charges. How do you do that? Or, is it already in place since we paid for our vacation with a credit card?

Hi Dennis, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

From the moment you slip on your colorful MagicBand, you'll love the convenience of using it to open your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room door, enter the Theme Parks, hop aboard your FastPass+ attractions and, yes, charge meals and other purchases to your room account. It's everything you need, right on your wrist!

For your security, the MagicBand itself doesn't store your credit card information. When you check in to your room, whether you opt for online check-in or you prefer to do it when you arrive at your Resort hotel, you'll be asked at that time if you'd like to link a credit card to your room for your charges. You (or a Cast Member if you're checking in at the Resort) will input the card number and choose a PIN. Then, you're all set to head out and pick up all those souvenirs, snacks and other extras that make your vacation even more special.

I hope this helps with your planning, Dennis. Please stop by again if you have any more questions. Wishing you a magical vacation!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
