Greetings, Amanda! I’m so happy to be of help with your allergy issue. I traveled last October to Walt Disney World Resort with a friend that had food allergies, so I’ll share my experience with you.
In Animal Kingdom, there is a special food cart called
Terra Treats, which you will find as you cross over the bridge from Discovery Island to Africa. The eatery boasts mostly Gluten Free offerings like wings, hummus, fruit and rice crisps, but you won’t find any nuts there, either. It may be just the spot for your family. Flame Tree BBQ on Discovery Island in Animal Kingdom is also without tree-nuts on it’s menu, but be sure to ask for an Allergy Menu as you enter the restaurant in order to choose entrees that are suited for you and your party. When visiting Epcot, La Cantina de San Angel and
Liberty Inn are two quick service restaurants that I would recommend for delicious allergy-friendly fare. Once again, ask an attending Cast Member for that allergy friendly menu.
My friends like to use AllergyFreeMouse.com for some fan experiences that might give you an idea of what to expect before you arrive. Walt Disney World Resort takes food allergies very seriously, so always know that you’re in the best of hands. I hope you have a magical visit, so please let me know what else I might be able to do for you! ~ Lindsey P.
