I read something about a class with a Disney Animator in the Animation Building at Hollywood Studios. My DH11 would go crazy for this & I'm wondering if you could tell me if you need to make a reservation for it & also if there is a charge? Thanks!

    Hi Jackie,

My girls, OK I, love the animation class held in The Magic Of Disney Animation in Disney's Hollywood Studios, we try to attend a couple of classes every trip. The class is free and lasts for about 20 minutes, the classes occur throughout the day and the times can be found on the Times Guide which can be found next to the park maps as you enter the park. The class is led by an animator and they guide the class through a step by step drawing of a particular character. In the past I've drawn Winnie the Pooh, Daisy Duck and Mickey Mouse. I always love the class but I'm afraid my drawing never gets any better and sometimes it's hard to tell which character I have drawn!!!

Once inside the Animation building you'll see a turnstile and some seats the other side, this is where you need to wait for the next available class. A Castmember should be there to answer any of your questions.

I'm sure you and your son will love the show and I hope your drawings turn out great,
