I read that you can send things ahead of time and Disney will keep them at no charge until you check in? I am traveling alone with a 1 and 2 year old and anything that I can send in advance will be a great help. How do I do that?

    Hi Paula,

Love that you are planning ahead and the more you do ahead of time the more relaxing your travels and vacation will be once you've arrived.

You can indeed ship things to your resort so that they will be waiting for you when you arrive.  On the mailing label you should include the following information:

Name of Guest that the Reservation is under
    Date of Arrival
    Name of Resort
    Address of the Resort

To get the correct address to send the package, call the resort directly and tell them you're mailing a package for pickup when you arrive and ask what address should be included on the label.  If you need assistance with this let me know which resort you're staying at and I'll be happy to call and get the information for you.

Be sure you allow enough time for your package to arrive prior to your arrival.  There have been a couple of times when I checked in that the package was on-site but not at the front desk when I arrived.  They did get it there pretty quick but if there are some items you'll need immediately upon arrival, take them with you just in case.

I have done this a lot (especially traveling with kids) and have found it to be extremely helpful.  I've also saved the boxes and shipped stuff home as well.  There are places at most of the resorts to do this - I go ahead and take my printed return labels with me when I go down.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
