I've read that seat canes are permitted in the parks. Do I need approval to bring one along with us?

Hey, howdy, hey, Kim, and welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you stopped by with your question because Mickey wants nothing more than to have his friends feel comfortable while enjoying the "Most Magical Place on Earth."

Seat canes are permitted. In fact, Disney has a whole webpage about Accessing Attraction Queues where the second point specifically permits walkers with a seat and cane chairs! Wahooo! You do not need to worry about this. You do not need approval, also you should be cognizant of the time of year and the heat. While you have a place to sit it could get stuffy in the attraction queue on a crowded and/or hot day.

Other conveniences to keep you out of longer lines are Lightning Lane entrances (system changes July 24, 2024), Disney Genie+Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and Merchandise Mobile Checkout all utilized through the My Disney Experience App

Kim, I hope this information puts a Cheshire grin on your face. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
