I read the rules of dress but do you have to dress as Disney characters at the Halloween party? If you are permitted to dress as non Disney characters, do you think dressing as the Addams Family might be considered offensive or not family friendly?

Hi Vickie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You will be collecting candy around Magic Kingdom Park in no time at all! Hooray ... or should I say "Boo-ray"?! This spook-tacular event is one of my favorites, especially when it is time for the Headless Horseman to signal the beginning of Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade. It is my favorite part of the night!

I have good news for you! You do not have to dress as Disney Characters for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. In my opinion, I think you will be fine as the Addams Family as long as you stick to the costume guidelines. Just keep in mind that it will probably still be pretty warm at night when you visit, so keep layers light. Cousin Itt may want to stay at home or hang out in the air conditioning. Ha!

I hope this helps with your planning, Vickie! Enjoy every second of this boo-tiful evening. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
