Ive read about ride switch and the attraction requirements, I have 2 children, both under 5. how does that work for the rides if certain rides are not a 3 person seater and I'm the only parent present on the park grounds?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to planDisney, Tara. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! And with little ones in tow! You're sure to make lots of magical memories together.

As a mom of three, one of my favorite things about the theme parks is that they feature loads of family-friendly attractions. These attractions do not have height requirements and they appeal to Guests of all ages! I just love that my family of five can be immersed in the magic of Disney storytelling TOGETHER.

Rider Switch is a service that is available when a child in your party does not meet a height requirement or simply does not wish to board a specific attraction. To take advantage of this handy feature, there does need to be a second adult in your party so that someone is available to supervise the non-riding child.

While you may need to skip some thrill attractions that feature height requirements because you can't take advantage of Rider Switch, there are lots of attractions you and your kiddos can enjoy together. Almost all family-friendly attractions can easily seat one adult and two children together. In the rare instance that you're about to board an attraction that can only fit two to a seat (for example, The Barnstormer if both your children meet the 35" height requirement), a Cast Member will seat you with one child and seat the other child directly in front of you in the same ride vehicle.

Don't forget to catch performances of the incredible entertainment options in the theme parks. Your kids will love stage shows like Festival of the Lion King and nighttime spectaculars like Disney Enchantment!

I hope this was helpful, Tara. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Disney vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical visit.
