Hi there Donna! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am glad you stopped by with your question today. There are many uncertainties around the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort this upcoming July, and we here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel are happy to attempt to navigate them with you. We know our Guests have many questions about what this will mean for their vacation, and we are working to answer those questions as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Regarding the wearing of face coverings once the
Theme Parks reopen, we know that this will be a requirement for all Guests over age 2, just as it is now at
Disney Springs. So far, we know that this covering should cover the nose and mouth, and should be worn at all times when outside your
Resort Hotel Room except when dining. No specific guidelines beyond these are available at this time. A face shield seems to me like a good compromise for guests that cannot tolerate traditional face masks, but I would recommend confirming this with
Guest Services prior to your trip just to be sure.
Regarding accommodations for
guests with disabilities, no formal guidelines have been made available yet, but rest assured that the Walt Disney World Resort is focused on creating consistent guidelines to ensure everyone's safety. Also, please know that we can expect more updates to come in the future, and we would be happy to provide those to you as soon as we have them! Please follow the
Experience Updates page and the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest news and information, or return to see us anytime we can help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Clara
