Teens enjoying a Dole Whip

I read recently that only plastic water bottles were allowed to be brought into the parks. Is this still the case? I have a small Hydroflask that I usually bring with me to Disney and it is metal. I really don't want to have to find another bottle.

Hello Pamela and welcome back to planDisney, we're so pleased to see you again!

It's so very important to stay hydrated when visiting Walt Disney World Resort, and one thing I never forget to pack in my Disney backpack is a bottle of water!  In fact, Disney Cast Members are Wild About Safety too and recommend that Mouseketeers drink 4-6 ounces of water every 20 minutes when visiting the Disney Theme Parks.

When enjoying our time at Walt Disney World Resort, it goes without saying that all Guests are required to adhere to the current Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules.   However, I do have some great news for you, Pamela!  Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages into the Disney Theme Parks as long as they are not contained within glass receptacles; which of course means a metal Hydro Flask is permitted.

When your Hydro Flask needs a refill, simply ask for some complimentary iced water at most any Quick Service dining location, or keep a lookout for drinking fountains or water bottle refilling stations which are dotted throughout the Disney Theme Parks.

My family likes to cool-off and take-5 by stopping for Ice Cream!  And my top recommendation for ice cream stops when visiting Disney Springs is Vivoli il Gelato - words almost cannot describe the deliciousness that awaits in this house of iced delights!

Pamela, if I can offer any further insight into your upcoming summertime vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, then please do pop back to planDisney and ask me another question.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
