Hi there, Melissa! On behalf of all of us here at planDisney, welcome! We're always so happy to help our fellow Guests with their vacation plans to 'The Happiest Place on Earth!'
You've brought up one of my favorite topics to chat about —
signature dining at Disneyland Resort! It sounds like you are interested in the Chef's Counter experience at
Napa Rose. This is a unique dining experience with a customized dinner menu featuring seasonal ingredients and the option to add a wine pairing. Indeed, it is a culinary adventure over your multi-course meal with a view of all the magic being created in the kitchen! I especially love the opportunity to learn from the chef and dining team about how they source, prepare, and serve the ingredients in each dish with such care and intention. So, don't be afraid to ask all your questions because everyone will be eager to guide you through such a special meal and the service is truly exceptional.
Okay, Melissa, now to all the details about how to book your Chef's Counter experience at Napa Rose. First, I should mention that the process differs from most other
dining reservations for table service locations at Disneyland Resort which can traditionally be booked online or in the
Disneyland mobile app up to 60 days in advance of your visit. For the Chef's Counter experience, you'll need to be prepared to call the Napa Rose direct line at (714) 300-7170 on the first day of the month, two months before your intended dining date. Reservations will open at midnight (Pacific Time) and Guests should leave a detailed message with their name and contact information, the size of your party, and the desired date and time for your reservation. The host will accommodate reservations in the order that they receive voicemails and then give you a call back to confirm reservation availability. Sometimes it can take a few days to return your call, given the volume of reservation requests they receive.
One tip I like to give Guests is that some flexibility in your preferences may increase your success in securing a dining reservation for this highly popular experience. For example, my husband and I recently booked a Chef's Counter experience but we mentioned that we could dine either Saturday evening or Sunday evening, and by the time we got our call back, the Cast Member indicated that only the Sunday seating was available. There are only 12 seats available for the Chef's Counter experience each seating, so we felt lucky that we could find availability and that we were able to arrange our plans accordingly!
Melissa, I hope this is a useful set of recommendations for you as you consider booking this one-of-a-kind experience. If you happen to be
celebrating something special, please feel welcome to let the dining staff know when you arrive because they are wonderful at helping spread a little pixie dust on your special occasion. If we can help with any other suggestions or personal advice along the way, please come back to
planDisney with any questions you might have. We'd love to hear from you again soon!
Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
Tishra
