So I have read on the plan disney that if you have reservation for the lightsaber building at Savi’s, you can get to the spot before the official open time of 8:00 AM. My appointment is set for 8:05 AM. Not sure how to make sure I get there in enough tim

Hey there, hi there, Joshua! Welcome to planDisney where the force is strong with planning tips and tricks!

It sounds like you are going to start off your upcoming Disney day with some extra magic at Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers where you will be building your custom lightsaber. I have not heard about being able to get past the ropes before the park opening to get to reservations. You may have come across an answer for Walt Disney World where I do believe they may let Guests into the parks before the official opening for reservations like this. Since your appointment is at 8:05, you should be able to get to your appointment without any issues and Cast Members should give some time allowance for those first appointments to arrive. I would recommend arriving early. They usually start letting Guests enter the park about 15 minutes before park opening and you can always speak to a Cast Member to see if both entrances to Galaxy's Edge will be open right away. If so, I recommend the entrance near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as this will get you closer to Savi's Workshop.

I am sure you are excited to wear your lightsaber with pride, but should you decide you want to take a break, you can have them held at Droid Depot or at the Stroller Rental location just outside the gates.

Joshua, I hope this information is helpful as you plan your visit out. We are always here if you have any other questions about your visit. See you real soon!
