I have read many people say to be able to get the most out of our character meal experience is to go at odd times when there are not many people? Can you tell me some suggestions of odd times for dining at Chef Mickey or any of the others?

Hi W!  Great question!  Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorite restaurants for several reasons.  It is a great place to eat and to meet-and-greet a few of Disney's favorite characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto.  We would rather meet-and-greet the characters in the restaurant during dinner than waiting in line at the theme parks.

Chef Mickey's is located in Disney's Contemporary Resort.  The food is served buffet-style with plenty of options for everyone, even the picky eaters.  Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Dinner is served from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  Lunch is not served.  My family usually choose "slower" times to eat our meals.  Personally, I love to have dinner between 5:00 p.m.and 6 p.m. because it's not as busy.  I usually try to secure a breakfast reservation between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. And I follow this pattern when visiting other Disney restaurants.

Chef Mickey's do require reservations.  You may make reservations online or by calling  407-939-3463 up to 180 days prior to your visit.

Be sure to have your camera and/or video camera handy.  You will definitely make many magical memories!  Ca'Sandra
