Welcome back to planDisney, Angie! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question.
I have rented vehicles for my family's Walt Disney World Resort visits, and we have used the complimentary
Disney Transportation busses. Our transportation choice for each visit depends on our budget, our hotel choice, and our itinerary. If we are staying at a hotel with access to the
Disney Skyliner, that is always our preferred way to travel to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Epcot. In my personal experience, it is the fastest way to get to those Theme Parks with less walking. The Disney Skyliner stations are near the Theme Park entrances versus walking a far distance from our parked vehicle.
For
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests with vehicles, standard parking at each of the four
Theme Parks is complimentary. When you pull up to a parking attendant booth, let them know which hotel you are calling home during your visit. They will scan your MagicBand to confirm, and off you go to start your day of Magic and fun! While the Theme Park parking is free, there is a
nightly parking fee to park at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, which will be charged to your credit card on file at the end of your visit. Traveling via car, the longest drive I have experienced was about 20 minutes during a busy time of day with some road construction.
When using
Resort Transportation, you should always allow 90 minutes to get to your destination of choice. It doesn't often take this long, but it has for me a few times in the past. Driving your own vehicle will almost always be faster, but it is not the most budget-friendly option.
Have a magical day, Angie!
