Hi, I read on the Mom's panel that if you are on the dining plan, you do not have to put your child on. Is this a new change? thank you

    Hi, Julie!

Thanks for checking in! I'm happy to clarify.

Everyone on a single reservation at a Walt Disney World Resort must be on the same Disney Dining Plan reservation (the exceptions to this are Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members/renters, and those who are booking a Land/Sea package around a Disney Cruise).

Everyone on the same reservation must be on the identical Dining Plan type (Quick Service, Regular, Deluxe) for the duration of the stay. If four names are on the reservation, there must be four identical Plans purchased, no more, no less.

Any child/ren on the reservation will need to be on the Dining Plan. If the parent/guardian chooses to order separately and pay separately for the child, s/he has the prerogative.

This a la carte approach does not negate the fact that the Dining Plan must be paid for in accordance with the reservation and those entitlements will be on his/her Key to the World.

I hope this clears up any confusion!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
