I read the panel daily and it has been alot of help planning. My question is about the children's pirate adventures. I will drop the gkids off at the GF, is it worth it to try to go to Epcot World Show Case while they are gone or should I wait at the GF?

Hi Debra!  Oh the kids will love the pirate adventure at the Grand Floridian!

I would not try to go all the way to EPCOT during that time. You do have two hours and are not required to stay at the Grand Floridian during that time but it would be a bit risky to try to hop on the monorail and visit anything at EPCOT and back in time.  You never know about delays on the monorails and with EPCOT being so large it would take up all your time just getting to one spot.  My suggestion would be to either take this time to visit the monorail resorts, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary and see what kind of amenities they offer as well as visit  the unique shops inside each resort.  Perhaps you could grab a bite to eat at a new restaurant you have not tried.

If you would like to take a short visit to a park you can easily get to the Magic Kingdom and browse Main Street or even hop on one attraction or so during this two hour period.  You will want to be sure and be back on time as the pirate schooner returns with its treasure as the kids will be so excited to tell you all about their adventure!
