I've read that in order to save time in getting in and out of The Magic Kingdom, to park at Epcot and take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Do you need a park hopper ticket to do that? Im sure there is less traffic getting in and out of Epcot than MK..

Hi Nereida!  There are many inventive ways to get around Walt Disney World.  Many people enjoy driving their own car to the parks but it isn't always the quickest way to get to and from.

You can reach the Magic Kingdom from Epcot via the monorail. You do not need to enter the park to use the monorail so you won't need a park ticket to go from this location. The monorail would take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center and you would then have to transfer to another monorail to reach the Magic Kingdom park.  This is a lengthy trip and you might not save a bit of time by doing this versus just simply driving to the Magic Kingdom park. It offers a variety of ways for transportation but certainly not necessarily a time saving possibility.

I always suggest guests to take the resort buses to the Magic Kingdom. It is the most direct and fastest way if you are staying in one of the Disney resort hotels.  Taxis are not convenient for this park as you are dropped off near the Transportation and Ticket Center and still must make your way to the park via ferry or monorail.  Buses are the best as they  stop right at the entrance to the park so if you can do this it is the best way by far!
