Why hello there Corinne, thanks for dropping by planDisney!
Puns aside, there are a lot of people out there just like you who are fans of
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and would jump at the opportunity to stay at the legendary Hollywood Tower Hotel and enjoy a few refreshments at the Tip Top Club. I've come across this story myself, and if this unbelievable experience sounds almost too good to be true, that's because it is "totally made-up", according to what is written on the same page - if you read all the way to the end.
Unfortunately, guests are unable to book a room to spend the night at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror because it's not actually a real hotel. Instead of furnished Hollywood Tower Hotel rooms, you'll find the inner workings of the attraction that
Walt Disney Imagineering designed decades ago to fit within a show building that only looks very much like a dilapidated hotel building on the outside - its only inhabitants being the Cast Members tasked with operating the ride who certainly don't sleep there overnight as guests. In honor of the 30th anniversary of its opening at Walt Disney World Resort, I highly recommend watching the
Behind The Attraction series currently available on Disney+ for some very real facts and history behind this incredible attraction and the folks who brought it to life! Though The Tip Top Club may not truly exist, a version of it materialized this past year for
Disney Jollywood Nights where I was able to
attend and watch some great entertainment such as the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club.
To be fair, you're not the only one who has fallen victim to similar misinformation on the internet that was written by folks who write what they call "fake stories" by their own admission, and who are also responsible for claiming that it's possible to camp overnight within Space Mountain as another example. If the film
Ralph Breaks the Internet tells us anything, it's to be wary of what we read online and look to official sources like the
Disney Parks Blog or the first-hand accounts, observations and research here on planDisney. With the ideas and concepts of immersive kinds of accommodations and places to stay on the horizon, who knows if we may yet see guests have the opportunity for a spooky stay at a Disney Destination in the future?
Here's to not being fooled by the deepest, darkest corners of the imagination but instead being inspired by the wonders of Imagineering!
