I read online that it takes 3-4 hours to get to the cruise line from the airport on the Disney Cruise Line Bus. Is this true? I am thinking of taking an early morning flight to arrive before 11am and wanted to be at the boat by 1pm.

    Ahoy Jessica!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question!

You'll be so happy you've chosen Disney Cruise Line transportation from the airport to the port. It's so convenient to have a dedicated Disney motorcoach that takes you directly from land to sea in comfort!

Since you're an International Guest, you'll need to claim your luggage and clear customs and immigration upon your arrival in Orlando. Once you've cleared customs, your bags will be returned to the main baggage area. Disney Cruise Line will then collect your luggage and it will be magically delivered directly to your stateroom! Make sure to pack a day bag with any essentials you'll need: cruise documents, identification, swimsuits and medication, since you won't be reunited with your bags until later in the afternoon.

Simply follow the signage to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center, located on Level One, Side B. Your comfortable Disney motorcoach will be waiting to take you to the port! The actual driving time from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral is around sixty to ninety minutes. Your time frame between your arrival in Orlando and your arrival at the port really depends on the length of time it takes to claim your luggage and clear customs. Hopefully everything will move smoothly and quickly and you'll get to the port as soon as possible.

Once you board, you'll find several dining options for lunch before the awesome Sail Away Party. Make sure to save room for some delicious soft-serve ice cream - there's an all-you-care-to-enjoy ice cream machine on the pool deck! (That's where you'll find my family on Embarkation Day!)

I hope this helps answer your question! Please let us know you have further questions as you plan your magical Disney Cruise Line vacation!
