Animal Kingdom Lodge! I'm so excited for you!
While some people visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to
take a walk on the wild side, you are all about taking a ride on the waterslide! I can confirm that on September 8th, the Samawati Springs Pool Slide closed for routine maintenance. Rebecca, I wanted you to have the most up-to-date information, so I chatted with a helpful Cast Member this evening about your question. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no updated timeline for when the waterslide will reopen, but it is expected that this routine maintenance will not be a lengthy closure.
I wish I had a more definitive answer for you, but as Timon and Pumbaa would say, "Hakuna Matata!" The good news is that while the waterslide is closed, the Samawati Springs Pool is still open! If you're looking for some waterslide fun, you are welcome to enjoy the Uzima Springs Pool and its slide. Plus, visiting the Uzima Springs Pool means you're just a short walk away from indulging in the delicious
Zebra Domes from
The Mara! They are popular for a reason, and I hope you'll enjoy a few!
