I’ve read online that people with the dining plan have been able to swap out their drink option for a side at a quick service restaurant. Are there any other substitutions that are allowed? Are there any activities for children in the Disney Springs area?

    Hi Ashley!

It sounds like you enjoy reading about Disney Tips online as much as I do! I am constantly researching for my next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There are always changes to catch up on!

My fellow panelist, Robyn, has a great answer about her experience with substitutions at Quick Service locations on the Disney Dining Plan. The only information I will add to hers is if you find yourself with leftover Quick Service credits at the end of your vacation, you can exchange one Quick Service credit for three Snack credit items. It's a great way to have snacks for your journey home!

You also asked about children's activities at Disney Springs. You'll find a carousel and a small train ride there. If they haven't spent all of their souvenir budget, shopping at World of Disney or Once Upon a Toy is incredible. The LEGO Store is a destination on its own. There are amazing LEGO scenes inside and outside the store and there is always some kind of building activity happening. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has a location if your Princess is looking for a makeover (or just a sprinkling of Pixie Dust!) If dinosaurs are more to your liking, you can find Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear Workshop inside T-REX restaurant.

I hope this helps with your planning. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
