    I read that the monorail would be shutting down for several hours on weekdays thru March. What exactly does that mean/how does it affect travel between monorail resorts? We are staying at the GF but have dining reserv at other monorail resorts.

    Hi Kimberly!  It is true the monorail will not be running from 11:30 a.m.- 7 p.m. starting January 21, 2014.  The scheduled maintenance is through the end of March, but keep in mind with weather conditions that is always subject to change.  Because the monorail is so popular, there will be more buses and boats running daily to accommodate the extra people.  

    What you will want to do is hop a bus or boat from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to the Magic Kingdom, from there hop on another bus to the Walt Disney World Resort you will be dining at.  If by chance you will be dining at the Contemporary Resort, once you get to Magic Kingdom you can always walk there.  Make sure you give yourself a little extra time to get to your dining reservations during this time.
