Have read lots of complaints via other sites about AS Movie resort, being "dingy", graffitti on walls, bugs, etc. We are staying there in just a few short weeks and now I'm worried. Is this a legitimate concern? Should I try to change my res?

Hi, Allison!  Bugs, and dirt, and graffiti, OH MY!   Well, I for one would certainly not tolerate that!    But, no worries, Allison, I just stayed at All-Star Movies in August and it was quite pleasant!  We had a standard room that was clean, well maintained, and quiet!   (I had a burned out light bulb in my room if I had one complaint!  And without even calling anyone, it was replaced by day 2 of my stay!)

If you arrive at this resort (or ANY resort for that matter) you should never be subjected to poor conditions.   If you feel that the room is not up to your standards, simply call the front desk and ask to have a new/clean room.  If you still are not satisfied, ask to speak to the Resort's manager.

So, the answer to your question is "YES!"  A filthy room and resort is definitely a legitimate concern.  But hopefully, you will not experience anything even remotely close to what you read.   If you do, get on the phone or head to front desk and a Cast Member will do everything he or she can to ensure a magical vacation for you and your family!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
