I read on line that if you purchase souvenirs you can have them delivered right to your hotel room. How does that work and have you ever used this service?

I use this service on every trip!

When you purchase souvenirs at WDW theme parks or at Downtown Disney, you have the option of enjoying resort delivery. You can also opt to use Package Pick Up where you can retrieve your package upon exiting the park. At Epcot, you can have packages delivered to the Main Entrance or the International Gateway.

    Here's the guidelines:
For Package Pick Up, allow at least 3 hours from the time of purchase until your package is ready for pick up.
For Resort Delivery, any packages purchased prior to 3 hours before Park closing will be at your resort after Noon the next day.

On our most recent trip, we went to Mouse Gears in Epcot. Since we were checking out the next morning, we chose Package Pick Up. You will be given a form to fill out with your Registered Guest Name, Home Address, Home Telephone Number and Departure Date. Fill in the info and you will be given  your Tracking receipt. When we exited Epcot, we followed Package Pick Up signs to the gift shop outside of the turnstiles. There, we showed our receipt and were given our souvenir bag.

This strategy works well when your child has bought a toy that they will want to play with back at the resort and simply can't wait until the next day to see again!

When you use Resort Delivery, your packages are available for pick up the next day in your Resort Gift Shop. Each Resort's Info card which you receive at Check In will state the location for Package Pick Up. (Once Upon A Time, packages would magically appear in our room but now they must be picked up at the shop.)

It's all very simple and safe. We've never lost a souvenir. You will have your receipt which states exactly what you purchased. The top part of the receipt is stapled to the souvenir bag before you depart the store. A second copy is placed inside your bag.

WDW Resort Delivery Services are just another way guests can enjoy a magical day!
