I read the information regarding covid restrictions and was curious what types of covid tests were accepted. Would an over the counter test suffice?

    Hi there, Naddalynt!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for bringing us a Disneyland Resort question. Yippee-- your magical vacation will be here before you can say “bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!”

The State of California does recommend that all Guests of the resort be fully vaccinated or get a negative COVID-19 test result prior to visiting. You could choose to obtain a PCR or antigen test before leaving home, and, as you mentioned, there are at-home test kits available now. The at-home tests are generally less reliable than traditional lab tests, but they still have a relatively high accuracy rate and provide faster results. That said, there are no formal testing requirements for Guests to enter Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, or other parts of the resort at this time, so getting tested before your visit is optional.

I hope this information is helpful, Naddalynt, and that your Disneyland Resort vacation will be filled with pixie-dusted moments that turn into unforgettable memories! Please feel free to write back and ask any other planning questions you have before your trip begins.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
