    I just read about the IllumiNations Cruise. For our party size, we would have to do the pontoon boat. Since they have a canopy, will we miss any of the action up above because of our obstructed view? Any other info about the cruise would be appreciated!

    Hi Jenny,

    We have been lucky enough to take the Illuminations Cruise twice, and both times our pontoon boat did not have a canopy.  I'd assume that that is how things continue to be for just the reasons you mentioned:  to avoid creating an obstructed view.

    I would encourage you to book your cruise when you are 90 days away from the first full day of your trip by calling 1-407-WDW-PLAY at 7 a.m. Eastern; the cruises do book up quickly, so you want to be one of the first to call to grab a spot quickly.  It sometimes takes a few morning calls to get the reservation which Is why I'd call for the first full day of your trip so that you'd have some extra dates to "play" with if needed.  We actually once had my husband on one cell phone while I was on another.  Also, make sure and have a credit card on hand since I recall that it is needed to it to hold the reservation.
