I have read that the Grand Gatherings program has been discontinued. Is this true? If so what group incentives are there? We are planning a December 2013 trip with at least 20 people and wanted to start doing research. Thank you

It is true that Grand Gathering special events are to be discontinued in early 2012, Chris.  As of right now, I'm not aware of any replacement activities exclusively offered to large groups on an ongoing basis.  That said, there are plenty of ways for even large parties to get together for fun events at Walt Disney World.  For instance, we recently visited Hoop Dee Doo with a party of fifteen people and had a knee-slapping good time.  To my knowledge, many of the tours and experiences listed HERE are also available to large groups.  If any of them interest you, do call 407-WDW-PLAY to inquire about availability for your group.  I hope that helps!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
