H Moms! I read that the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom are great from the California Grill, so we made reservations for Dec 2 at 5:30, Disney Wishes is @ 6pm. Am I correct this will be a great display, and how do I get a good table to view them? Thanx!

    Hi Claire,

I just checked the December calendar because I thought 6 pm seemed early for the fireworks, and I actually didn't see Wishes scheduled for that evening because there is a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that evening.   In past years, I believe the Holiday Wishes fireworks were at 9:30 during the party.  However, don't worry that your reservation is early in the evening.  The California Grill welcomes its guests to return to the restaurant to watch the fireworks on the day they dined by simply returning with their receipts.  And yes, the view is incredible - truly filled with all kinds of Disney magic!

If you are unsure how to spend the time between when you finish eating to when the fireworks begin, I'd recommend hopping on the monorail to visit the Grand Floridian with its breathtaking Christmas tree that fills the lobby as well as its life size gingerbread house.  As the time for the fireworks approaches, you can simply get back on the monorail to take it back to the Contemporary.
