I just read that F&W Fest begins Sept.19. We are at WDW Sept.20-27, but only going to EPCOT on Monday 22nd. Will the crowds increase at ALL parks because of F&W? Should I change my dates to the week before F&W? I want to avoid a major crowd inc

    Hi Tiffany!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Generally, September is a less crowded month to visit Walt Disney World.  In my opinion, the previous week would be less crowded, but not so much that it will be incredibly noticeable. Opening weekend of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be busy, but the majority of those crowds will be felt at Epcot on Saturday and Sunday when the Florida residents like to stop by for a visit and taste all the yummy additions to kiosks around the World Showcase.

If it were me, I would not change my dates, because I love the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! Snacking around the World Showcase makes for an excellent meal. I also enjoy the Eat to the Beat Concert Series and in late September, you can usually catch Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It is my favorite hard-ticketed event at Walt Disney World. The middle of the week would be the best time to visit Epcot, but as long as you stay away over the weekend, I think you'll be able to experience all the attractions you want with a good plan.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please feel free to visit us again. We love answering all your Walt Disney World vacation-planning questions! Have a magical vacation!
