Hi! I read you everyday! Comming to WDW in 17 days with 3kids 10, 9,4, and 6 adults. YAY! Have tickets for MNSSHP on 11-1, any ideas for something to do on actual Halloween? Is it appropriate for the kids to wear their costumes in Epcot on 10-31? thanks

    Hi, Ingrid!

Just over two weeks? Wow! The time will fly by, and you'll be here before you know it!

Your children are more than welcome to wear their costumes to Epcot on Halloween (there are always loads of little pirates and princesses roaming the Parks!). For your children's safety, I'd recommend adhering to the costume rules you'll follow for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party:

    Halloween costumes should NOT:
    • Obstruct the guest's view or interfere with their ability to board/unload from attractions and/or the Walt Disney World Resort transportation system (including monorails, ferry boats and motorcoaches).
    • Drag on the ground.
    • Contain sharp or pointed objects or material that may accidentally strike another guest.
    • Be offensive to other guests.
    • Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
Beyond that, you're reasonably free to go creative!

While there are no Halloween-specific activities planned for October 31, you'll find that the Parks and Resorts are increasingly decorated for fall and Thanksgiving. Your children can certainly wear their costumes to whichever Park you choose, and perhaps they will receive a treat from a Cast Member on duty! The primary Halloween at Walt Disney World is, of course, the incredible Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and you'll be enjoying that the next night. Do check with your Resort, as each one offers activities geared for children, and some special events might be planned for Halloween.

    Have a spooktacular time!!

    See you later, celebrator!
