I have read that during peak season, being in the parks with extra magic hours is not recommended, because it is the most crowded. We will be there in June of 2013, do you feel the crowds outweigh the advantages of extra magic hours? Thank you!

Hi Julie!  In my experience, I have always found it beneficial to take advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours.  As long as you arrive early, you will be one of the first ones in the park to enjoy your favorite attractions before the crowds get too large.  You will be surprised with how many attractions you can enjoy in the morning when others are sleeping in.  As the day goes on, it may become busy and this is where you can use a park hopper to your advantage to switch over to another park.

For the evening Extra Magic Hours, I tend to stay away from the park that will have the Extra Magic Hours.  The reason is, many guests will have base tickets and are not able to hop to another park so they will stay in one park during the day to get the most bang from their ticket.  I will, however, hop over to the park with Extra Magic Hours later in the night as the crowds begin to dwindle from those that were there the majority of the day.

I hope this helps.  Have a wonderful vacation!  Diane
