I read that most Disney hotels don’t have a true refrigerator but instead a beverage cooler. We are coming in September and plan on ordering grocery delivery to our Lion King family suite at Art of Animation but need to know what we’re working with.

    Hi, Tracy! Welcome to planDisney.

You’re going to love your stay in a Lion King Family Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. The immersive theming inside the suite will make you feel like you’ve stepped right into the Pride Lands. There's also a larger-than-life Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa waiting outside to greet you each morning. Plus, with plenty of space for your whole crew, you’ll have room to stretch out after a day of adventuring through the savanna (or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park).

Whilst many standard Disney Resort hotel rooms feature beverage coolers, the Family Suites at Art of Animation actually come with a kitchenette. That means you’ll have a real refrigerator, plus a microwave, sink, and coffee maker. So whether you’re storing milk, fruit, or leftover zebra leg (no judgment!), you’ll have everything you need for grocery delivery.

Here’s a little tip: since your suite comes with a microwave, you can save some snack money by ordering microwaveable breakfast items or quick meals with your grocery delivery. That way, you can fuel up before heading out without rushing to the food court every morning.

Hakuna matata, Tracy! It means no worries for the rest of your stay. Have a great trip!
