Hello, I have read a couple conflicting pieces of information and wanted to get some clarification as to when the Disney Yacht Club pool revamp will open. Will it open June 1st or July 1st? Thank you in advance! Rachel

    Hello Rachel,

Welcome to planDisney! Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is an amazing experience, and being along Disney's BoardWalk adds even more charm with its lively atmosphere and scenic views. You've chosen a fantastic resort- Disney's Yacht Club Resort, renowned for its nautical elegance and convenient proximity to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Its sister resort, Disney's Beach Club Resort, holds a special place in my family's heart, not only because of Stormalong Bay but because of Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, too! So, your question resonates with me!

The Walt Disney World website currently states that Stormalong Bay will undergo a revamp "through June 2025." While I know you're hoping for a specific reopening date, Disney typically doesn't provide exact timelines for construction projects, as factors beyond its control can impact them. Rest assured, though, that Disney is working hard to reopen Stormalong Bay as quickly as possible so Guests can once again enjoy its sandy-bottom pool, lazy river, and waterslide during those warm summer days.

In the meantime, you still have fantastic swimming options. Disney's Beach and Yacht Club Resorts offer three leisure pools. At Disney's Beach Club Resort, you'll find a serene pool in the garden area facing Crescent Lake. Disney's Yacht Club Resort has its own peaceful garden pool, and a third pool is located at Disney's Beach Club Villas—available to Guests of both resorts. Each pool also features a steaming whirlpool spa, perfect for relaxing after a day in the parks.

And here's another bonus! In 2025, Guests staying at any Disney Resorts Collection hotel receive complimentary access to a Disney water park on their check-in day. If one day isn't enough to soak up the fun, upgrade your theme park ticket to include the Water Park and Sports Option, allowing you to return and cool off at the water park—likely Disney's Typhoon Lagoon—throughout your stay.

I hope this information helps! If you have any additional questions about dining options along the BoardWalk, the best way to maximize your time at EPCOT, or anything else, feel free to send me another question. I'm always happy to help!

    Cheers,
    Brent
