I read there is a change in the stroller/ecv/wheelchair delivery to the Disney hotels as of 10/1/19. Any words of wisdom or suggestions? I will be unable to walk to my hotel room when arriving at the hotel unless I have a ECV.

Hi there. Kathleen! I'm so glad you reached out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I know the internet has been abuzz this week with news on Walt Disney World Resort's latest policy change on Resort Deliveries for Mobility Devices. I spoke with Guest Services about this today, and I'd be happy to help you to, "Think, Think, Think" (as Winnie the Pooh says) of a solution!

Guests who use an ECV, stroller, or wheelchair when visiting Walt Disney World Resort still have a variety of options, and this includes having their mobility device delivered directly to their Walt Disney World Resort hotel. The only change is that if renting from a third-party vendor, Guests will need to prearrange a time for a "face to face" meeting in the hotel lobby for drop off and pick up of their item. This policy went into effect on October 1; however, this only impacts bookings made with existing authorized third party mobility device vendors made after that date. Any reservations made on or before September 30 will still be accepted by Bell Services.

Also, ScooterBug was announced this week as an official Disney Featured Provider. This means that when Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests choose to rent through ScooterBug, the Guest does not need to be present when the equipment is delivered to their Resort hotel. If you need a convenient option and would like Bell Services to handle the delivery and pick up process for you, then this is the way to go! You can take a look at their products and inventory by visiting scooterbug.com/orlando or calling (800) 726-8284. I also recommend checking out the Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities on the Walt Disney World website.

I hope this helps, Kathleen! See ya' real soon!
