I read that booking Cinderella's carriage for our wedding costs $5000 - $6000, how long is the ride and how many people can ride for this price? Where does it go?

Hi there Ari, and welcome back to planDisney!

As you can imagine, a lot goes into planning a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding at the Most Magical Place on Earth and I think it's never too early to begin doing your research just to get an idea of how much it might cost you in the end! When my husband and I began planning for our own Disney Wedding this year, we had considered the idea of having that special Cinderella moment of being able to wave out from the side of a carriage to live our wildest Fairy Tale dreams so I did everything we could to find out as much as possible before booking. Based on my research from discussing it with our Disney Weddings Consultant and Wedding Planner as well as learning from the experiences of real couples on the Official Disney Weddings Blog, Disney Weddings Podcast and DisBrides community online, here's some helpful information that we gathered about booking a Cinderella carriage for your big day:

    • I confirmed with a Cast Member from Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons team at Walt Disney World Resort that the pricing that you mentioned for Cinderella's Glass Coach is indeed currently in that range (exclusive of taxes) and may be subject to increase without notice.
    • The length of the ride itself depends on your venues and when you'd like to utilize it, whether it's bringing you to the Ceremony before you walk down the aisle or as you depart after tying the knot! For example, I noticed that the majority of weddings include it at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to take it from the main lobby on a ride to Disney's Wedding Pavilion that may take between 10 - 20 minutes. (We thought that this was a bit outside of our budget when we calculated how much it would cost us per minute, and considered making the most of it by riding before and after the ceremony to take us to Disney's Grand Floridian Convention Center.)
    • At the present time, having a Disney Wedding is the only way that most folks would have the opportunity to ride in Cinderella's Glass Coach so the exclusivity of the experience may be worth it! Some folks choose to include their parents or loved ones to give them the chance to experience the ride; while capacity limits may change, currently up to four people may ride as long as you can all safely fit on the benches!
One thing to be aware of is that this is all subject to availability, and that pricing and policies may likely change in the future without prior notice. In fact in our personal experience this happened twice throughout my wedding planning journey so keep that in mind as you go through the process! I highly recommend asking your Disney Weddings team and reaching out to fellow Disney Wedding couples to learn as much as you can, and I'm always happy here at planDisney to give my own advice, tips and tricks ahead of the big day!

Wishing you the best as you ride into your Happily Ever After!
