From what I have read on other blogs it is recommended to bring a strollers even for toddlers. This our first time to disney and my daughter is 5 years of age. She is in active child. Should I still bring a lightweight stroller>>

    Hi Jasmine,

I remember how glad I was when my daughter was younger (a toddler) and I brought just an umbrella stroller along to use at the Parks.  My daughter has always been a bundle of energy that just won't slow down, but I still needed an umbrella stroller at WDW for her.  She ended up either getting too hot, too tired, sick or just plain wanted me to carry her around for no reason and I just couldn't carry her around with my bad back.  I was happy I did not have to rent a stroller there (they have become very expensive to rent at the Theme Parks....not worth it in my opinion).  Put it this way, it is a nice option to bring one, have it there with you.....just in case!  There is an awful lot of walking and trust me, her energy will be burnt off there at some point or another and you really don't want to be on the far end of one of the Parks when she decides she can no longer go any further and now you have to carry her all the way back to the entrance and home to your resort....been there, done that, not fun!

You should decide what works best for you, but this was my personal experience I had at WDW that I wouldn't want others to go through if they didn't have to.  Good luck with whatever you decide and have a wonderful vacation.

    Best wishes,
