Hi Leslie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Can you believe that in less than a month you will be at sea having the most FANTAStic time ever?!?! While I am always counting down from the minute I book a voyage, we don’t start our official “family countdown” until 30 days out because my boys would exhaust me with their constant “how many more days?” and “how many days is that?” type questions.
Disney Cruise Line has recently eliminated daily Personal Navigators in the staterooms each night during turn down service. Instead, Guests are asked to utilize the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to access a full schedule of events, activities, stateroom folio information and much more. You do not need to have WiFi or internet access to utilize the app, but rather will connect to the onboard DCL-GUEST network. You will want to keep your phone in “airplane mode” but you will still be able to connect to the onboard network at no cost to you. I was on the Disney Wonder last week when they first implemented this and while I did miss the daily Personal Navigator when I arrived back at my room in the evening, I just planned the following day on my app and marked activities as "favorites" to get alerts about 15-minutes before the activity! You will still receive a Voyage Navigator with an overview of the week when you arrive at
Port Canaveral for embarkation and you can always pick up a printed copy of the Personal Navigator if needed at Guest Services.
Wishing you the most magical of adventures at sea!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
