Kristin,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
The use of the
Disability Access Service (DAS) pass during evening events has become a hot topic of late. Earlier this year, you could not initially use the DAS pass at events like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. But Disney did some of that magic that they are so famous for, and now you can! If you see some of our panel answers earlier this year that said you could not, don’t worry, now you can!
So yes, you can use the Disability Access Service (DAS) pass during
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! I will warn you that one of my fellow panelists,
Diane, let me know that guests who enter the Magic Kingdom at 4 p.m. can use the pass from then until around 6:00 p.m. At that point, the pass can often pause working from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., as it updates for the party. But otherwise, you should be good to go, and ready to enjoy all that holiday magic!
BONUS TIP #1
The parades and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom special event are two of the best parts of the party! Make sure you try to watch both
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, as they are a real treat!
BONUS TIP #2Most of the Disney resorts will have special extra displays, often created by their restaurant staff, that are worthy of the time to visit. Likely the most famous is the gingerbread house they put up in the lobby of
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. It is so big they have a cast member inside who sells gingerbread houses you can take with you!
