I just read an article about having to be fingerprinted at The gates at Disney World. I understand the need to security but fingerprints please what happened to Showing ID. Do you have to give your fingerprint or can you still show ID?

Hi Karen!  Disney does not ask for the guests to be finger printed at the entrances to the parks.  What the article was referring to I am sure is that all tickets are matched to a finger code.  This is for your safety so people will not be able to use your tickets if they become lost. They can match the ticket to your finger code.  When you use the ticket for the first time you will simply put a finger to the machine and that secures your ticket to be used by you only.  Tickets are a huge part of the expense and it is a safeguard to help protect your investment in your vacation.
