Hi there, John!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney where I’m always delighted to discuss my favorite little
slice of paradise, Walt Disney World Resort!
In my opinion, one of the things that makes The Most Magical Place on Earth so very magical is the incredible dining available, and with the return of
dining plans in 2024, Guests are able to truly maximize that magic.
In its new era, Walt Disney World’s dining plan program has two tiers: the Disney Dining Plan and the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. The
Disney Dining Plan is the upper-
crust of the two options and does allow Guests to redeem two quick-service credits for one large pizza and two beverages at select locations (Disney's All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts) which is likely what was being discussed in the article you read. Unfortunately, this policy does not apply to the Quick-Service Dining Plan which is why you were unable to use your dining plan for pizza at Art of Animation. I know the specifics of various plans and packages can be overwhelming, so I always like to keep the links above handy for reference when deciding where to dine and what to order on a dining plan.
If you’re looking for delicious pizza next time you visit the Big
Cheese and his favorite
pupperoni, my family loves
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in EPCOT. You might be thinking, “Why would I eat pizza in a theme park when I can get it at my Resort hotel?” Well, John, I’m glad you asked! Via Napoli doesn’t offer your typical theme park pizza. There you’ll find pizza made from fresh Italian ingredients cooked to perfection in wood-burning ovens.
I hope this helped provide a bit of insight into your experience with the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, and gave you something to look forward to on your next visit. I do hope you’ll visit us again at
planDisney with any questions you have. I’m always happy to give a
pizza advice.
See ya real soon,
Lizzie
