Hey there! Hi there! Ho there! Jean, I'm so happy to see you back at planDisney, where you're as welcome as can be!
I have been missing the Main Street Electrical Parade since it
glowed away in 2016. I loved this parade so much that I was there the last night to say goodbye. Seeing Pete and Elliot — the happiest, brightest dragon — always filled my heart with joy (and maybe a few tears in my eyes).
With
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away debuting June 20, 2025, I am sure it will be love at first
light! With the expected
surge of excitement surrounding this parade,
Walt Disney World Resort has made adjustments to the
theme park reservation requirements for
Annual Passholders heading to the
Magic Kingdom. For a limited time starting July 20, a reservation will be required to enter this park, even if you arrive after 2 p.m. This change only affects the requirements for theme park reservations; it does not affect
Park Hopping. Since you are starting your day at
EPCOT, you should be able to hop on the Monorail, "manténgase alejado de las puertas," and enjoy the Magic Kingdom, as long as the park has not reached capacity. With the parade being in its first week, I expect Magic Kingdom will be buzzing. You may want to hop over early in the afternoon, just in case.
Now, before you leave EPCOT, make sure to enjoy some of the special perks of
V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days. You can find the Master of Evil, Maleficent, with her devious grin shining on a new Passholder magnet. These are available at the
Creations Shop through July 31, 2025, while supplies last. There is also a special character greeting at
Der Teddybar in the Germany Pavilion between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Unless he's gotten
Bashful, I've heard this is your chance to meet Dopey.
Jean, I hope this news helps you enjoy a
de-light-ful day at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park. If you have any other questions, you know helping you is the
highlight of our day at
planDisney.
Magic Awaits!
