Have read that AK parking lot does not open early in mornings. We want to go to Mara for dinner after park closes so we want our car that day but also want to enter the park right at opening. Is this possilbe or do we need to take the bus? Not ding EMH.

Hi Samantha! We were just there for Martin Luther King's Birthday weekend in January and we arrived at about 30 minutes before park opening. We were stuck outside the parking lot toll plaza and we were the second car in line. We were not allowed into the parking lot until 15 minutes before park opening. Once it opened, we could basically drive to the front of the lot. We got to the park gates before park opening, but there were a lot of guests already in front of us who took Disney transportation! Good luck!
