I've read about being able to pre-purchase photo packages on a cruise, can you tell me how to do that? And is it worth it?

    Hi Kelly,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  One of the things that I love about our Disney Cruises is the opportunity to have photos taken throughout our voyage - without having to carry a camera.  This is especially helpful when looking to get those coveted shots of the entire family (since I'm typically behind the camera).

There are several "Photos Your Way" packages that allow for you to purchase photo credits that can be used to purchase your photos.  8x10 photos are 2 credits, and 6x8 photos are 1 credit.  You can mix and match the credits to buy the photos and sizes you want.

On my last voyage the packages were:
    • Select:  40 Credits  $249
    • Premium  30 Credits  $199
    • Choice  20 Credits $149
    • Value  10 Credits  $89

Purchasing the packages will save you money considering that one 8x10 photo is $19.95.  What is really great about these packages is that they are fully upgradeable and fully refundable, so in the event you either have more pictures you want than credits you can upgrade to get more credits, or if you don't use all your credits they will adjust your package and refund you accordingly.

You could also purchase a photo CD and have every photo taken put on it for a lump sum price.  The CDs are currently priced at $250 for a 3-night voyage, $300 for a 4/5-night voyage, and $400 for a 7-night voyage.  You are given full rights and access to your photos when buying the CD.

As for pre-purchase, this can't be done prior to sailing - it is something you sign up for once onboard.  Simply stop by shutters on Deck 4 aft for more information.
