Hi: Re special rates for servicemen. My husband was drafted during the Korean Conflict and stayed only a few years until he was discharged. Does his relatively short service many years ago make him eligible? We'll be at WDW with family at Christmas. Thanks

    Hi Sandra,

Thank you so much for stopping by the Moms Panel to ask your question. Also, a very big thank you to your husband for his service.

If your husband has his retired military ID, he will be eligible for the specially priced military offers, including the 4-day theme park military ticket and the special military rates at select Walt Disney World resorts. A few years back, my own dad used his DD form 214 to purchase military discounted tickets within the theme parks, but I would suggest that your husband use his ID to make things easier. If he doesn't have an ID, but does have his DD form 214, a trip to your local base or VA will help him acquire one before your Christmas vacation.

I hope this helps with your vacation planning, Sandra. If you have more questions about the special military discounts or any other part of your upcoming trip, feel free to ask me at any time. I'm always here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
