Re: POR My husband 3 boys (6 turning 7 on vacation, 8 and 10) are staying for 7nights - is there any requests that we can make to get our room close to pools or bus pick ups. We have never stayed at POR but have stayed at Carribean and Old Key Wes.

    Cally:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

You can simply call Disney and ask that a note be put on your reservation requesting to be near either a bus stop or the pools--it really is that simple.  Or you can request a specific building.  For our vacation to Port Orleans: Riverside, we requested Building 14 or 18 because they were near both the bus stop and the pool.  We got 18--and I was so glad, it was near a small quiet pool as well as Ol' Man Island while 14 was nearest the Main Building and had a lot of foot traffic.

Some times just telling Disney what you want is better than requesting a building, as they know what you're looking for and if your one or two specific request are filled, it may become more pot luck.  They do their best to meet requests, but keep in mind that they are guaranteed.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
