Re: club level @ contemporary- are the 2 queen bed rooms the same on 12 & 14 floor? is one floor preferred?

Hey-howdy-hey, Margaret! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about one of Walt Disney World's iconic opening day resort hotels. Since 1971, Disney's Contemporary Resort has boasted one of the best locations on property, nestled on the shores of Bay Lake and just a short walk from Magic Kingdom. I can't think of a better way to immerse myself in the magic of a Disney vacation than taking in Happily Ever After from my hotel balcony, and you can do just that at this resort! I also love that the monorail route passes right through the atrium. So, without further ado, please stand clear of the doors (por favor, manténgase alejado de las puertas) while I get you an answer to your question.

The Contemporary has quite a few room types, from main tower rooms to Garden Wing suites, and some of them include club level access. Other Disney Resort hotels list "Preferred" as a room category, but I don't see that designation on any of the rooms at the Contemporary. There are some Preferred View rooms at Bay Lake Tower, but those are deluxe villas that are separate from the main tower hotel rooms at this location. If you are asking which floor guests prefer to have their club level room on, I think that would be in the eye of the beholder! The 12th floor does have rooms with two queen beds with either a theme park view or a resort view, and the 14th floor is mostly suites. It is possible that there are rooms with two queen beds on the 14th floor, but they are likely in the same booking category as the rooms on the 12th floor. If you'd prefer one floor over the other, you can submit your room request when you complete online check-in. I do want to remind you that such requests are not guaranteed, but Cast Members will do their best to accommodate you.

You'll have a front row seat to evening fireworks from your resort no matter which floor your room is on. You can watch from the comfort of your theme park view room, or head down to the 4th floor beyond Bayview Gifts to take in the dazzling pyrotechnic display from the outdoor viewing platform. One way to really plus-up your vacation is to secure a dining reservation at California Grill for an amazing view and an incredible meal.

I hope this information helps you plan for a future visit, Margaret! Please visit us again here at planDisney if you have additional questions about visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth. We're ready and eager to assist our fellow guests.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
