    How does the RCI exchange work for the DVC Member.? Do you have to use your points and pay the fee to excahnge? or do you just pat the exchange fee and pay whatever the cost is to travel to your destination?thank you for you time and response

    Howdy Patricia! 

    RCI is the perfect complement to our DVC Membership.  RCI features over 500 options at exciting destinations, worldwide! RCI offers the flexibility of stays that could range from as short as one night to a week or longer at hundreds of destinations!

    You can review resorts and book your RCI exchange online from the DVC Member website, which is fabulous and so convenient!
     
    RCI is part of the World Passport Collection and requires a non-refundable $95 transaction fee when the exchange is confirmed or when a system search or wait list is initiated.  If payment is not received at the time of confirmation, Disney Vacation Club reserves the right to cancel the exchange.  Other than your $95 transaction fee, you will use your DVC Points to book your reservation and you will pay separately for your travel to and from your destination.

    Effective March 21, 2011, Members who purchase their Ownership Interest through Disney Vacation Development, Inc. are eligible to book reservations for all Member Getaways collections. Members who purchase on the resale market are not able to use those vacation points to make reservations for the Concierge or Disney Collections.

    RCI is great and offers DVC Members another avenue for maximizing our Membership.  Please let me know if you need any further information and thanks so much for your question!!
