I would rather not plan the day around a "reserved" dinner. Will we be able to find somewhere to sit and eat without a reservation?

    Hi Christine!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  The answer to your question is a bit tricky.  Here's why…  Table service restaurants, where reservations can be made in advance, often book up completely at the 180 day mark.  However, if you are visiting during a slow time of year, it is possible walk up Guests could be accommodated.  If Table Service is what you really want, I would not recommend taking those chances.  Why don't you make an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR) just so that you have one?  You can always cancel the day before if you decide the reservation will not work for you.  For assistance booking as well as cancellations, call (407) WDW-DINE.

Counter service (or Quick Service) restaurants are always available to you.  You do not make reservations for these.  At these restaurants, food is ordered right up at the counter and you would bring it back to your table.

To help you make the best dining decision for you group, take a look at all of your Disney Dining options. Feel free to write back with more questions as you narrow down the field!

I wish you a truly magical vacation.
